Parish cemeteries:
With Spring here, if you pass one of the parish cemeteries we oversee, stop and remove blankets or sticks or “whatever” that might have accumulated at your family’s site. Mowing requires the removal of all sorts of things that winter brings. Instead of renting a dumpster for 800 dollars, we could remove odds-and-ends ourselves–a trunk-full a day by just a few people would do the job. If you know someone who has a family grave here, but who won’t be in the area in the months ahead–do them the favor of clearing off blankets/branches from their loved one’s site.
